COACHING
INTEGRATIVE
COACHING
is a process and method I use to coach people in transition, business
and sales people, professionals, lawyers, doctors, financial planners
and advisors, artists, accountants, managers, health professionals,
therapists and people with marital, relationship, career, energy
or spiritual problems. I provide Coaching
by telephone, for individuals, as well as
in person and sometimes also provide teleclasses for groups. Integrative
coaching in turn calls upon a vast body of knowledge from
the field of Positive Psychology
(see below)
and so I call myself an Integrative, Positive
Psychology coach. It also draws upon the developing field
of Integrative Psychology. As an
Integrative Positive Psychology coach, I
draw upon the 12 Universal Laws (see
below) in order to help my clients as well
as drawing upon my own strengths and virtues.

FOCUS OF INTEGRATIVE COACHING
During these integrative coaching sessions
I will listen deeply and carefully to your concerns, desires and
dreams. I will help you develop creative, integrative approaches
that support you in contacting your inner wisdom, resourcefulness
and guidance, and help you make *integrative shifts* for powerful
and practical benefits. I will use innovative and integrative
tools, methods and healing techniques
to help you gain control over yourself, your business, relationship,
career, personal, energetic and spiritual life. This will help
you close the gap between where you are and where you want to
be in your life. I will help you clarify, define and reach your
hopes, dreams and purpose in life.
QUOTE
Here is a quote from a coaching client:
Just a short note to say thank you for all your help in
these coaching sessions I enjoyed with you. ...Your understanding,
humor, and help were an excellent example for me ... as were the
techniques you used. I felt respected as a person, heard as an
individual and coached as a child of the Divine. Thank you for
all of that but more importantly, thank you for approaching these
... sessions in the Spirit of joy ...that made them an incredible
gift to me. (LB)

12 FUNDAMENTAL CHOICES FOR HAPPINESS
As
your Integrative, Positive Psychology coach
I will also help you master the 12 Fundamental choices
for happiness (see free
information section)
3 CORE DIMENSIONS OF POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY
1. Positive
Experiences such as well-being, happiness, life satisfaction,
positive feelings, optimism, hope, flow, joy, creativity, courage,
compassion, forgiveness, love, wisdom, self-actualization, sanity,
emotional intelligence, spirituality, etc. My own work on well-being
(see my book and assessment scales)
would fit in here.
2. Positive
Virtues and Strengths and the development of a classification
system and scale for virtues in action (VIAs). This parallels
the excellent work on strengths in the workplace developed by
the Gallup organization. (see below for my highest strengths and
virtues using their measures)
3. Positive
Organizations, Civic Culture and the Good Life
STRENGTHS OR VIRTUES IN ACTION
My
most notable strengths or virtues in action
(VIA), in alphabetical order, using the Positive
Psychology system described by the VIA
scale are:
1. Capacity
to love and be loved You value close relations with others,
in particular those in which sharing and caring are reciprocated.
The people to whom you feel most close are the same people who
feel most close to you.
2. Curiosity
and interest in the world and love
of learning You are curious about everything. You are always
asking questions, and you find all subjects and topics fascinating.
You like exploration and discovery. You love learning new things,
whether in a class or on your own. You have always loved school,
reading, and museums-anywhere and everywhere there is an opportunity
to learn.
3. Equity,
fairness and justice Treating all people fairly is one
of your abiding principles. You do not let your personal feelings
bias your decisions about other people. You give everyone a chance.
4. Forgiveness
and mercy You forgive those who have done you wrong. You
always give people a second chance. Your guiding principle is
mercy and not revenge.
5. Gratitude
You are aware of the good things that happen to you and you never
take them for granted. Your friends and family members know that
you are a grateful person because you always take time to express
your thanks.
6. Hope, optimism
and future mindedness You expect the best in the future,
and you work to achieve it. You believe that the future is something
that you can control.
7. Industry,
diligence and perseverance You work hard to finish what
you start. No matter the project, you "get it out the door"
in timely fashion. You do not get distracted when you work, and
you take satisfaction in completing tasks.
8. Judgment,
critical thinking and open mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are
important aspects of who you are. You do not jump to conclusions,
and you rely only on solid evidence to make your decisions. You
are able to change your mind.
9. Leadership
You excel at the tasks of leadership: encouraging a group
to get things done and preserving harmony within the group by
making everyone feel included. You do a good job organizing activities
and seeing that they happen.
10. Perspective
and wisdom Although you may not think of yourself as wise,
your friends hold this view of you. They value your perspective
on matters and turn to you for advice. You have a way of looking
at the world that makes sense to others and to yourself.
11. Spirituality,
sense of purpose and faith You have strong and coherent
beliefs about the higher purpose and meaning of the universe.
You know where you fit in the larger scheme. Your beliefs shape
your actions and are a source of comfort to you.
12. Zest, enthusiasm
and energy Regardless of what you do, you approach it
with excitement and energy. You never do anything halfway or halfheartedly.
For you, life is an adventure.
Also my major 5 Core
Strengths from the Gallup Strengths scale are:
1. Maximizer
People strong in the Maximizer theme focus on strengths as a way
to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform
something strong into something superb.
2. Learner
People strong in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn
and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of
learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
3. Input
People strong in the Input theme have a craving to know more.
Often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.
4. Connectedness
People strong in the Connectedness theme have faith in
the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences
and that almost every event has a reason.
5. Achiever
People strong in the Achiever theme have a great deal of stamina
and work hard. They take great satisfaction from being busy and
productive.
I will help you discover your strengths
and virtues and assist you in maximizing their potential.
